About Ashton

Ashton was  21 years old and was an art history major at UNC-Chapel Hill.  Ashton was diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS) in July of 2007. ERMS is a very aggressive form of childhood cancer.  She underwent chemotherapy, radiation and surgery for two and a half years.  In November of 2009, Ashton received the news that they had hoped they wouldn't hear...that the tumors in her lungs had gotten bigger and that new tumors were showing up on her scans.

All throughout her battle with cancer, Ashton remained positive, beautiful, confident and strong.  She continued to excel in school and was as involved as possible in her sorority and in other activites.....

Her Christmas Wish was to go to Paris with her family....and we made that wish come true.....YOU made that wish come true...and we are grateful for every single gift!  And now, we want to continue on with Ashton's Angels in the future.  We want to help increase childhood cancer awareness, and we want to make a difference in the lives of other children who are victims to this horrible disease.
