GREENSBORO — Ashton Yvonne Miller, earned her angel wings on Sunday,
March 28, 2010, surrounded by her family. She endured a two and a half
year battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. She
inspired hundreds of people who followed her story of courage and
determination. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile
that could light up a room!
Ashton was born in Canton, Ohio on

Carolina at the age of two. She graduated from Western Guilford High
School in 2006. She was a senior at the University of North Carolina,
Chapel Hill studying Art and Art History.
She was a talented
artist and dreamed of owning her own gallery. She wanted to live in
Paris, and through the generosity of hundreds of people, she was able to
visit Paris with her family in December. She loved photography, music,
reading and spending time with her family and her friends. Ashton was a
member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at UNC-Chapel Hill and enjoyed
cheering for her beloved Tar Heels.
